Enjoyable Start, Workaholic Progress, Exhausted Ending

Today, we went for Paintball. My team lost all three games and I got shot on my left leg. Haha!! I discover some findings or theory from these three games. Winning is not everything (not because I lose all which make me said this J) but the process is the real thing! Winning is only significant and important when there is a clear a significant purpose behind it!

Later on, we went to the theme park to enjoy! Taken some photos of it! Not very nice that place, satisfactory level just about 5/10. However, we did enjoy ourselves, fully let go with all the stresses and proposals to be done.

Was so so tired until my housemates and me was late for the meeting despite holding four high post in the alumni.

Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer(me) and Program Head. Lolz! But for me, I was really really tired and exhausted, added on with the flu and blocked nose, I really have no choice. Later on the whole day, we had an intense meeting and discussion about our Alumni magazine and new proposal for the next trip to overseas for our juniors. My idea was accepted - Social Entrepreneurship as the theme. I really want to know more about this term, to be honest! I must start doing some research about it from now onwards. I want to have a more in depth understanding about this issue.

Our program extended till 1am and everyone went back to have some rest. My Indonesia teammates were still working on the magazine but I went to sleep. I felt sorry team, but I am really exhausted and I could not stand it anymore. I also sorry for can't helping much for the magazine because of my poor level of BM. I will do my best to help you guys out ya!

A day with multiple principles born

Day: Saturday

Suddenly decided to write down my diary. I told Joey something when we sms. I told her a sentence that I almost forgot it. I must always remind myself about this.

‘Life is only once. Things that are passed could not be turned back. So, every moment should be filled with the most meaningful and great memories. These memories when forgotten, you would never retrieve again. Therefore, don’t live life, experience it! Now or Never! Make every moment of your life the best and record it down with photos, videos and writings.”

Today, I was still at the Alumni of Delegates to Indonesia and Australia Camp at Bukit Gambang Resort, Pahang. Today was the second day! What a boring morning we had. Had two talks in the morning and I almost slept for both the talks because of the fatigue and the boringness of the speaker. The second speaker talked about leadership. I asked him a question “There is a thin line between overconfident and positive thinking. Is it true and what you think about it?” Honestly, I don’t get the answer he gave me. Haha!

Our schedule was all gone wrong. Our planning and drafting for the magazine session canceled. Good news for us today, but tomorrow will be disaster for us! I learn a good interactive game from high ranked officer who offered RM 100 for the game winners. He is one of the high rank officer in KPT. To be honest, keep in heart. Haha!

We were allowed to return back to our room early today. Most of my friends went swimming but I slept for about 1 hour plus and when they returned back I changed I went to gym. I did something crazy today! After doing my suppose to do workout (biceps, triceps and arms) and 100 times of sit ups, I challenge myself to do another 100 situps before leaving the gym. Oh my god!! I did it!! And after I came back, I develop few theories that I will hold it from today onwards.

“Set realistic, measureable, challenging goals with a timeline. Then, remember to have positive thinking. Don’t think how to reduce the scale when half way doing because of the difficulty. Always think of how to solve the problem in front instead of find a shortcut to avoid it! Visualize it that you have success! Do it until you reach success!”

I really suffered so much and almost gave up when I did that situps! Haha! At night we had a salam mesra activity at the coffee house. Er.. actually it is just like another dinner. Nothing different, just that we had our own space for dinner tonight! I had a great chat with a talented and great leader – Rizuan. He read a lot of books and had good knowledge. My roommate too, a great leader too! I am honestly happy to know all these leaders; I learn things from them sometimes. Oh ya, I realized something, good leaders read! It’s true. After dinner(very very full. My stomach very small already. Can’t accommodate much nowadays.), I was actually invited by the Australia friends to watch Pirate of the Carribians at Kuantan. I rejected them because I wanted to accompany my Indonesia friends since we will leaving each other soon. I am happy I was accepted at the two sides. Something that I am now very satisfied and happy about is the two groups of delegates could be mix together well yet. Still they stay with their own group despite two days of activities have been carried out together.

We went Sing K at a Karaoke. I sang four songs. Belaian Jiwa, Kenangan terindah, Nothing gonna stop my love for you and you raised me up! After that, we went to an adult merry go round. Did not really want to go up d. Scared of getting dizzy. But at last everyone was up and I followed too. Long time din play that already. Haha! Fun and thrill!!! Before going back to the lobby, I played the basketball shooting arcade game. I broke and set two records for the basketball machine today! 233 and 239 are my scores! Fuad and me played two games of billard before leaving back to my room. He won one game and I won one game. Great game dude!

I reached my room, bath and start writing this blog. Mean time, I gave a chance to Joey to plan something for EN society. I can see she got heart to do things, just that she don’t have a mentor and she is lazy sometimes. She need some directions! I gave her a task with one week timeline. Hope she can make it! I will only give her a chance to prove her HEART! All the best Joey!

Singapore Trip

Jason and me got an invitation from Ben Aw from Singapore to attend a talk by Ken Chee.
I departed from KL Central at 10pm Monday.
Sat in the KTM for almost 10 hours. OMG!! Luckily there is a bed for me to sleep. Haha!
We reached Woodlands customs and went down. My first encounter was.... THE KTM OFFICER scream at me, asking me not to take photos. Wtf! After the custom checking, we went back up to KTM.
We reached SG at about 9pm and met up with Ben Aw!
Ben, I would like to say a big big thanks to you!
You are really a great great man and will be a good mentor! I am planning to ask you to be our mentor tomorrow!! Hope there will be a good news!
Ben brought us to have breakfast. The Dim Sum was nice!!! Really had a soft pau, crunch dunno what and a thick soya bean drink.
We have a chat about entrepreneurs, business opportunities, sharing of experience and some motivation opinion exchange. His words really motivated me a lot!! I learn so much and will implement it in my life.
Walk the Talk! Talking is cheap!!
One thing I love about Singapore is, everything is about SPEED! Good! No procrastination! Efficiency and Effectiveness are crucial and the key element they practice here. I will enjoy this life!! Haha!!
And also...there is a Mc Cafe here and a new burger at Mc D SG! Will be trying out that burger tomorrow if there is a chance!
Ben is so kind that he also sponsored us for accommodation at hotel at a place call Little India! I am now posting this post at an Indian CC! Haha!! The hotel was okay. We got almost everything we need there. :) Thanks Ben again!
Oh oh!! How could I miss this. Ben brought us to the sea side and for lunch after our discussion in the morning. The beach was.. WOW! Clean although there is a BUSY port over there. From the seaside, we can see hundred of ships 'parking' at the port! Wow! Amazing view. And also, according to Ben, in the night, there will be MANY airplanes LINING UP in the sky to land at Changi Airport! WTF man! They have the busiest port and airport although they are so small compared to malaysia!
One thing I learn here: MINDSET of people can be the destiny of the country! Haha!
TELL YOU ALL SOMETHING! TRY OUT THE KATONG LAKSA AT SINGAPORE!!
It is DAMN nice!! I could have it everyday la!! Haha!
Oh ya.. The rental of a small shoplot in the city area is..... 12k Singapore Dollar and it's not the most expensive rate YET! Convert to RMS? Haha!
Back to the hotel...
We have some rest and we went down for a tour around Little India. It is called little India for some reasons. The population here is most Indians and the shops here are Indian shops! Haha!
After that, i had a short nap and Ben picked us up at 5.00pm. We went to the venue of the talk straight away to set up technical stuff.
Honestly, I was quite worried and nervous. Because later on we will be meeting business people, entrepreneurs and also many Singaporeans. Hmm.. Haha!
HOWEVER, I managed to build my confidence to talk and once I set off , with the momentum I made a lot of friends, got plenty of name cards and FB adds! Social media - FB is really something phenomenal! OMG! I overheard a conversation between a participant and the registration counter lady. The participant said she got the news from FB and straight came to the event. Wow! First time I really realize the power of social media. ^^
Ken Chee, the speaker of the night! HE IS FREAKING DAMN awesome!! Really! He is one of the best speaker I had ever met. More details about his speech is at my last post, written by Jason. Thanks Jason.
I am currently more more motivated and I have made a promise to myself! I want to change and be someone different! I will be a better person from now onwards!

Ended my night with going CC with JASON!! He forced me because he want to .. Haiz.. LS! Actually I was not feeling well. I think I took something wrong causing the pain in my stomach! Quite suffer but after visiting the toilet for few times, I got energetic again! I am going to be a tourist tomorrow morning!!

A trough for 2011

Wow. Quite a special day for me. From my tittle, a trough for 2011, got some clue about my blog post today? Haha!
However, it's not completely a trough, even it is, it's no big deal because I foresee there will be trough in my life and I had many trough too in the past. It's not to grieve why I felt in the trough but how i find my way up to the peak!! (Wincent Ch'ng, 2011)

Started my morning by waking up at 4 something to study for my Product Management mid term. Finished one chapter and I went to Mamak stall for my breakfast. Brought along a book with me - "Write it down, make it happen". I really learn a lot from this book today.

Continued my study after my breakfast until 8am. Went to EFM class. My lecturer remembered me already. Kept asking me to answer questions. Hmm.. Quite a bad news, means can skip class le. :( Haha!! I read my book during the lecture. I decided to follow the book's advice which is to bring along a small note pad with me so that I can take down any random ideas from me or from my friend. I am also taking down anything that seems special to me during the day so that I can blog. The books also asked me to take down the compliments given by other people, not to show off but to motivate us when we are down sometimes.

I went to DSA to get my Waltz's proposal. Not bad, quite some mistakes but still acceptable. Started to call my managers to solve their issues and went to repair my motor after that. Had my lunch at MM alone. Breakfast + Lunch = mamak. Haha!! Went home and started to study again before going to uni to help my 'dear' register for softskill - Take Charged. My sister also joined in oh!! "Take charged" we are all coming!! Haha!! I joined it before, but I am joining it again!!!

After about 15 minutes at the uni, came back to cont' my study and went out to uni again after 45 minutes to meet my society adviser to sign some documents. rushed back again to cont' my study later on. Learn something here: I must learn how to fully concentrate when many things are cramped together. If not I can't do well in all aspects. Again, FOCUS!!!

Went for midterm and did a careless mistake which make me lost 8 marks. It's okay! Assignment must be perfect! Come on Wincent! You want to get 4.0 this sem, right? Do your best!!!
Came home earlier to have a rest d initially, but I started to exercise to release some stress. Used my skipping rope, do some push ups, and dumbbells training. Later on, I have a football playing session with Desmond, Xhang and Edison! Haha! Crazy evening.

Had dinner with a big big groups of friends at night. Regretted for ordering the mee! Chee Li said I have so low determination, I said before that not to eat big meals at night :( This actually inspired me!! Thanks Chee Li!

After that, I went back to have a meeting with Soon and later on with my program team for Waltz at ABC. Chean Fee, I gave you a chance to prove yourself ya!! Wiiliam, do you best you can be someone in UTAR too!! Alex, I hope you have learn from your Interaction Day's mistake and do your best!!

After that I planned to go home to rest since I am quite tired that time. But before heading home, I want to release some stress by wanderings around Westlake with my orange motor. Just to feel the cool breeze of the night! Dunno why, I reached 1174, my ex-house and just went to to visit my ex-housemates - Kelly, Katty and Huey Shyan! OMG!! I really missed them. We chat for almost one and a half hour. Enjoyed the whole conversation getting updates from each other and 'zhatting' around. :)
Not to be ego, but I think I really came long and far journey since I came in UTAR. I started from nothing, and now I have whole loads of things in hand. Responsibilities increased, vision adjusted to a higher vision, determination strengthen, attitude changed, personality improved, etc etc... I really turned from someone quite meaningless in life to someone quite meaningful in life! I will keep on my hard work and effort!
I will be the one one day!!!

After that, I went to see Jason, because I got a call from Joselyn saying Jason was not okay! I saw him, EE Foi and Edward at the bus stop just beside 1174. We went to the lake side for some chat but Jason din reveal any of his problems fully. I slept at the lakeside until 3-4am. Enjoyed the lake side feel! This is one of the reason I love Kampar too!!! Haha!!

Finally, when Jason told me his problem before we went for MU match, I kinda not so surprise, because I did predict this outcome when he sent out his email to Mr Nicholas Chan.
I gave him some advice and hope he can recover from his drawback soon! Entrepreneurship journey, will never be easy but it will be FUN!!!!!

Sad thing that happen before I sleep - MU lost to Chelsea. Referee do made many major mistakes in this game causing the disaster. DISAPPOINTMENT!

UPs and DOWNs, all in one day.

Woke up quite early and went to the uni with Edward to see our Entrepreneurship HOD. He did give us some valuable advice and support for the event : The Apprentice.
I went back to and sent a few important emails to different parties.
Later on, I went to Ipoh with JY to settle my sister's driving license and to repair my phone. However, along the whole journey, we got many ideas regarding the LS Student Agency's business idea! Great idea refining process from us!
Rushed back from Ipoh to meet up with the dean to discuss about the council issue. He bought our idea and will consider and give some feedback by Weds. Yes! Hope this effort could help the FBF students!
After that, me and Jy went to the Library, planning to study for tomorrow's midterm. HOWEVER, i found some books and started reading it. "The Art of Thinking". Yeah!!
However, the down side of my day came. I received email from Ms Lai saying our proposal being rejected and there are a few points which need to be improved and amend. Than I received some feedbacks from the comments I gave to Jaz. She had her point but in the end, I can see some improvement in her already. Keep up Jaz! I also did receive an FB msg from Calo saying about his position and also receive a FB msg from Raymond asking me to pay for the popper I accidentally popped during the Moral Campaign previously. And... I missed someone so badly. Hoping to hear from her soon. :(

What a match!!!
Jason Yeah challenge me during 80 minutes (still 0-1) whether they can score 5 goals or not (I predicted a 0-5 score), I said confidently yes, they can make it!! I really had faith and belief in them. They really did show a great last 10 minutes of play although they did not make it with a 0-5 win!

Retail Management Presentation

Woke up at 5.30am in the morning ... Despite sleeping at 2am.
As usual, wash up and started with some minor updates from my email and FB.
Started my research on my Retail Management 8% presentation preparation.
Wanted to score full marks for it, so put my 90% FOCUS for it (10% on songs).
Quiet and peaceful of the morning make me feel so fresh and calm.
I can do things so well in the early morning.
Framed my whole presentation, and started to come out with some crazy and creative ideas to score some marks under the 'interaction with crowd' section.
Thought of some ideas to ask for volunteers from my tutorial class to help me in conveying my msg in a short acting form.

Did some last minutes video to add some value in our 20 minutes presentation.
Set off to uni at 9.30am.

Presentation well smoothly although like did not get 100% response from the crowd. Happy to get some help and support from some class mates.
Hope Vannesa and I could get high score for this presentation.
One thing I have to learn - I need to rehearse rehearse rehearse like what Steve Jobs did.

Not a very great match though. Quite boring because the second half was dominated by Crawley Town.
The funny thing is the real RED DEVIL (MU) played with the fake RED DEVILS (Crawley Town).

A Sincere Heart

I had a meeting with Chee Li at 7.30pm to discuss about our Waltz, with Love matters.
After meeting, she told me that she is going to feed her dogs.
In my surprise, I ask for more details about her 'doggies'.
I was told that she will feed the stray dogs everyday at the construction site, almost everyday.
She even cook maggi mee for them (yesterday's dinner for the doggies)
She told me a funny statement :"I put some seasoning of the maggi mee for the doggies because if not it will be tasteless for the dogs... ==''' Ha!! Cute and with a sincere heart!
I fetched her to the construction site and saw the mee she left for them a day before. She told some of her insane, crazy, cute and kind hearted actions to me such as waiting for them to eat for 1 hour before leaving..
I told her that she was the second friend who really have such a sincere and generous heart for animals. I met and know one about 10 years ago. She is Thong Hui Theng.
Found similarities in these two people. :)

Information Literacy Workshop

I posted this post during the Information Literacy Workshop class at the lab in Uni.
What a great workshop! Although it's quite boring, but I did learn a lot for referencing and making online research.
Did not regret waking up so early in the morning to attend this workshop!
I think the Uni should expose this workshop to all students and make this workshop a must for all. Because this will highly increased the student's quality of assignment since they will get proper information searching source and will be well prepared for their final year project.

Journey back to Penang for CNY

I watched Southampton vs Manchester United for FA clash.
Good thing Manchester United won!! Yes! 1-2
Amazing come back again. Lolx. Another goal from Chicharito!

After the game I went back home and start to pack for my trip back to Penang!
4am sharp we started my journey with my sister and Alvin Kk. Nice drive.. Quite sien in the beginning but half way back, knew a new friend - "Red Color Chevrolet". We overtake each other and make my driving fun and not so boring. NO WORRIES. We went 110-120km/h only. Haha!! Just like a highway interaction between two bored drivers. Haha!

Reached Penang at 6 something and straight away we went for breakfast at Air Itam! Wow! Went to a coffee shop that I did not visit for more than 10 years. A special historical feeling when I sat in the coffee shop.

Played DotA with my cousin and after that, I did something very humiliating to myself.. I played basket ball with him and also with his friends, BUT I played like a kid. Lolx! I really do not know how to stand and how to def etc.. Really not my sports... If volleyball or football, I would be playing happily. I actually regretted not taking up this sport when i was young.. Basketball is not an ordinary sport but it is also a 'cool' sport! Lolx!
It's okay. I understand this concept where I don' t always win every time. And I can't be good in everything! ^^
But life is a learning process. Learn something new everyday! This is what I hope I can do in my life!

What a learn today is:
How to interact with people who are younger than me but having a great advantage (certain abilities, skills, knowledge) over me. Something special to be learned today! Haha!

Two days updates.

Day: Friday - Saturday

I am going to update two days together!
Friday.... WHAT A DAY!!! Did my proposal, budget, plan a new contingency plan and budget untill 6am with James Kerk!! Slept for a few hours only.. Woke up at 9am and went to uni to settle the proposal. After printing everything out, I got a MAJOR problem!! I can't locate my advisors to sign my proposals and budget!!!!!! Waited for 5 hours( went to class mean time) at last I found my co-advisor to sign for me. HOWEVER, she dun1 to sign my budget!! Made me soso down that day! I need to submit to fast but she dun1 to sign. I know she got her reasons and principles.. Haiz.... Drag again my proposal and budget.. Amitaba.. Hope everything will turns well!!!! Come on!!!

Friday night, went out with Jason , Cha Cha, Wah wah, Alvin and my sister for PIZZA!!! Yee ha! Ate so much and expensive. RM17 per person leh... OMg!! BUt enjoyed la. New year mood leh.....
Had some discussion with Edward about his ideas.. Edward.. Not bad!! You just need to improve your communication skill bro! I have faith in you!!
Made a decision during Friday night which changed my Saturday night's activities.

Sat, went to Interaction day 2 for BA society. Honestly, I did enjoy a little bit for the day, but more creativity and innovation should be added in the games. We had 6 games (3stations). I love the balloon captain ball game. If being modified, the whole game will be great! I have read Entrepreneurship Society's Interaction Day proposal and it's interesting. So I hope the implementation will be perfect too. Let's organize the best Interaction Day EN team!! Back to BA Interaction day, my sincere advice is think more out of the box and must be more creative. It's okay to not do well in the beginning, the main thing to learn is how much you learn and improve! :) However, I still got new friends and MY TEAM WON THE OVERALL CHAMPION!!! Yes!!! Got a box of Manderin Orange! Muahahaha!!!

Stopped Diary

Omg. I stopped my diary writing for so so long! !
Was so so busy.. I was busy for City Tour, Waltz, and other preparations.
I think I want to make a habit to right it every night after I wash my face or bath.. So that I won't missed it. If i have more time only i will upload my photos. :)

Today I was so sick today.
Fever, running nose, sore throat. Slept for 12 hours although many calls and sms came in while I was sleeping. i am not sure who i talked to also..

Had lunch with Dr Teh Chee Seng, VP of UTAR. Wow. I think I could not imagine I will have the chance to have lunch with VP when I first came in to UTAR.

Thanks Dr. Teh!!!

Btw, Going for a talk tonight and I think my whole night will be about proposalS and budgets! Haha!!

Busy getting participants for City Tour, busy promoting Entrepreneurship Society to the new students, busy for Waltz, with Love and also busy preparing for the speech that will be given during Mass Call!

I woke up late on the first day because I overslept. Actually I have insomnia that night because I was too excited for the day! I will have my City Tour team to register the new students for City Tour and also my entrepreneurship team to promote our society! Luckily I have prepared everything the night before. I have already packed everything and get ready for everything! I just have to bath and I can depart!
LEARN something from here, get everything ready and everything will be just fine!!

Entrepreneurship Society Committees

Reached there very early that morning and City Tour was the first one basically. I set up our booth and get ready for the war. My entrepreneurship Society team also arrived on time. However, the crowd for the two days are not so promising. For City Tour, We just got about 30 plus students. But, I am still very positive about the attendance because I know Jan Intake's response is like this d... We have one more good chance, which is during Mass Call which is tomorrow! :)

Peer Mentoring Programme

I attended their Mass Call Rehearsal on monday and also tuesday. Quite nervous because I did not gave a speech in front of so many people since last City Tour. And my style is I want my speech to be different and my speech could stunt the whole group to listen to me, hopefully got interested to join this tour.

Feeling for these two days: Tired, Happy, Excited, Nervous. Proud with my team and disappointment too(sponsorship).

Just a Day....

Nothing much in the morning...
Afternoon went to pick Jennifer and Chee Li up from KTM station. Two of them really got 缘分. They bought their KTM ticket separately but end up sitting together. Haha!! Small world!

After that I brought them to uni to settle the mobile board. Chee Li wrote all the words. We kept laugh at her writing. Btw, thanks a lot ar Chee Li! :)
96% done this time. Not bad! Love it! The best mobile board since in UTAR! Haha! I mean the best for the mobile board that I have personally involved in it! :)

I remember I rushed back to design my Entrepreneurship Flyers and Name Tag. Then I straight away drove to KTM to pick up Xin Hang. HOWEVER, he did not tell me that his train was delayed!!!! Xin Hang!! I drove back to pick up Jen and Raykee and we went to Print our flyers and have dinner. After that, we had d meeting at Chee Li's place to discuss about our task and everything for the orientation week. Good chemistry among all committees! ^^ Happy to see that!

After meeting, I went out for another informal meeting with my Entrepreneurship Society Committee Members to pass them the stuff and some short briefing. AT THE MEAN TIME, i also watched football match - Manchester United vs Liverpool FA Cup clash! Haha!!

Gerard got RED CARDED

Manchester United won! 1-0 Liverpool.
However, not so happy also.. Just I felt pity to Liverpool because they just got they new manager and their captain got red carded. Omg.. And MU won with a penalty which seems like a dive. How I hope that match ended 1-1.
